Medicus Band

Medicus members have a lot of talents aside from being studious, resourceful, leaders, etc. Some members were also musically inclined. Thus, in the periods 0f 1985-87 a band was formed comprising of Medicus members. The first time I saw them performing was with Miss Medicine done at the Medical auditorium. During this performance Spike Ignacio was the vocalist and Dean Quito was so impressed with the performance, that she cannot help but talk to the band members afterward, specifically to Spike Ignacio. I remember her saying "Spike pag ginawa mo pa ulit ito ibabagsak kita". This was followed by a performance at the Miss MCU done at the MCU Caloocan Gym. The members varied from one performance to another. It includes Jorge 'Spike' Ignacio (vocals), Rhoderick 'Oknoy' Problete (vocals), Gilbert Quimosing (lead, rhythm), Elvis Verso (rhythm, backup vocals), Ricky Dela Cruz (keyboards, rhythm, vocals), Ronald 'Dollar' Fetalvero(bass), Archi Lumibao (drums, lead, rhythm), and Chi Juico (vocals) the only thorn among the roses. At the top of the page after the announcement is a video of one of their performance, wherein the vocalist was Oknoy. The quality of the video is not that good (there is no digital video then).
