Acdemics Hold Quiz Show '86

A quiz show organized by the Academics was held last August 29, 1986 at the AV-Patho as one of the activities during the MEDICUS WEEK.

The judges, who themselves were the over-all organizers: Cecile Pacheco, Val Tongco, Odette Quinto, had a hard time trying to pacify a most active audience specially when the scores between the secretariat and the External became neck to neck. Nevertheless, the winners were: External Committee, First Place; Academics, 2nd Place; Secretariat, 3rd Place.

The participants who were chosen (or rather forced) by their co-members were:

External (first place): 1. Doree VILLAMAR, 2. Manny De LARA, 3. Roderick POBLETE

Academics (2nd place): 1. Arli VENERACION, 2. Noel PEREZ, 3. Celso DEMAALA

Secretariat (3rd place): 1. Joel MENDOZA, 2. Cris GONZALES, 3. Ernie CURIOSO

Internal: 1. Rhuena CABLAYAN, 2. Norman de LEON, 3. Alvin SANTOS

Finance: 1. Niela JORVINA, 2. Arnel ROMEO, 3. Dado LIMJOCO

Emceed by ARNEL BONDOC & (yours truly) MARIA CARMEN EDAUGAL, the show was a medicusly unique kind where wit and sharp guess answered questions pertaining to personal to personal joke, medicus history, medicine, The Bible, geography, general knowledge.

Next year promises to be a more exciting quiz show since the External will have to defend the championship and the Secretariat will try to grab the first place. ( ' heard Joel is reading a lot nowadays in preparation for that ! ) We'll see, . . anyway. . . see you all in the next MEDICUS Quiz Show.
